The game is divided in several parts with distinct mechanics. For example, you'll pass a bit of time managing relations between your clan and neighboring clans, which can be done through a series of pretty intuitive menus where you can choose exactly what you want to do. However, it will also be common that you'll go through events that you'll have to resolve with classic games of "choose your own adventure": choosing the option that you consider correct from a series of possibilities.
The best part of the game, of course, is the enormous quantity of background behind the story that it tells, which if your English is good enough will amaze you.
As you can see from the images, the game doesn't have traditionally "outstanding graphics", but that everything is made up of static illustrations. The style used, of course, is not only quite good, but it also perfectly fits with the feel of the game.
King of Dragon Pass is a great game that is independently capable of giving you hours and hours of fun. Of course, you will need a good knowledge of English and a lot of patience to enjoy it, as it is not a very accessible game.
